South. 2002.
Technical pen and India ink on paper ~ 5" x 7". Matted and
framed in black aluminum with non-glare plexiglas. In this view looking due south, everything seems to revolve around Halemaumau crater, the summit crater of Kilauea volcano and traditional home to Pele, goddess of the volcano. This is very close to the view you would see from the Jaggar Museum and the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory. |
