Also the subject for the pen and ink drawing, Ke Kilo Hoku (Earth and Sky item #11), this painting represents perhaps my most memorable experience to date of Hawaii’s earth and sky. Alone, above a sea of cloud, with the stars and the mountains; Cassiopeia, the Milky Way, Mauna Kea – all lit by the rising full Moon.
